About this project
Throughout my 3 years in APU, a recurring complaint I hear from students of all intakes is that their timetables are bad (for context, we cannot choose our timetable slots, they are given to us by the university).
I was thinking one day: how bad is it really?
I proceeded to create a system that retrieves all available APU timetables from Foundation to PhD, then rank them based on 7 metrics revolving around their timings and overall burden. These metrics include number of physical campus days, class time placements, gaps in between classes, overloaded days, and short campus days.
Through this website, students can input their intake code and find out how bad their class schedules are, or compare different timetables using the included dashboard. Overall, it was quite a funny project since I found a timetable with a combined 21 hr 15 mins gap across the week.
